You don’t expect to happen upon certain things in the woods, especially when you know it well. This chair caught me by surprise this weekend. It sits by a tree waiting for an occupant. As you can see the grass is drying up here in Mississippi. This grasshopper blends right in with it. BTW: It is 101 with a heat index of 106-110. This is one heavy jack. It is part of the treasure of old tools laying around our house. From the internet, i “figured” this jack was once use to jack Railroad tracks, but if anyone has any input…feel free to comment. East Mississippi is deep in the middle of a drought. Many of the ponds and wetlands are drying up. What rain has fallen is too little. We really need at least two inches a day for about a month. :-) Pray for that, please. |
